How do credits work?

An AI image is 80, extracting a brand is 50, and an AI edit or re-roll of a slide is 10. Reading, manual edits, and PDF and PPTX exports are always free.

Does the MCP server cost extra?

No. The MCP server is included on every plan, including the free tier, and adds no extra fee. A deck your agent builds over MCP costs the same 100 credits as one built in the dashboard or over the API.

Do I need a paid plan for the REST API?

Yes. The REST API is available on Solo and up. The free tier and the MCP server do not include full REST API access, so calling heydecks from your own backend requires a paid plan.

Is the free tier really free, with no card?

Yes. Start free with no card and a one-time 200 credits, enough to build and publish a couple of decks across the dashboard, the API, or the MCP. You get 1 brand and watermarked exports.

What happens when the free 200 credits run out?

Accepted Answer

The free 200 is a one-time grant, not a monthly reset. Solo gives you 2,000 credits a month for $19, Pro 6,000 for $49, and Scale 20,000 for $129. You can also buy a one-time pack: 2,000 credits for $15 or 8,000 for $50.

Is there a free trial on the paid plans?

Solo and Pro include a 7-day free trial: you are not charged until it ends, and you can cancel any time before then at no cost. The free tier needs no card at all.

Do credits roll over, and is annual billing cheaper?

Monthly allowances reset each billing period and do not roll over. Annual billing pays for 10 months and gives you 2 free, about 17 percent cheaper than paying monthly.

What counts as a seat, and can I cancel or downgrade?

A seat is a teammate in your workspace: Solo is one seat, Pro includes 3, and Scale includes 8. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades and cancellations apply at the end of the current billing period.
