How do credits work?

Credits are the unit of work. A deck costs 100 credits whether you build it in the dashboard, over the REST API, or through your assistant over MCP. An AI image is 80, extracting a brand is 50, and an AI edit or re-roll of a slide is 10. Reading, manual edits, and exports never cost credits.

No. The MCP server is included on every plan, including the free tier, and adds no extra fee. A deck your agent builds over MCP costs the same 100 credits as one built in the dashboard or over the API.

No. The REST API works on every plan, including the free tier, with the same endpoints and a rate limit that grows with your plan. Paid plans add monthly credits, more brands, and editable PPTX export.

Is the free tier really free, with no card?

Yes. Start free with no card and a one-time 200 credits, enough to build and publish a couple of decks across the dashboard, the API, or the MCP. You get 1 brand and PDF export with a small heydecks badge. Upgrade when you want editable PPTX or more credits.

What happens when the free 200 credits run out?

The free 200 is a one-time grant, not a monthly reset, so once it is spent you move to a paid plan when you are ready. Solo gives you 2,000 credits a month for $19, Pro 6,000 for $49, and Scale 20,000 for $129. Need a quick top-up instead? Buy a one-time pack: 2,000 credits for $15 or 8,000 for $50.

Is there a free trial on the paid plans?

Solo and Pro include a 7-day free trial: you are not charged until it ends, and you can cancel any time before then at no cost. The free tier needs no card at all, so you can also just start there.

Do credits roll over, and is annual billing cheaper?

Accepted Answer

Monthly allowances reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. Annual billing pays for 10 months and gives you 2 free, so it works out about 17 percent cheaper than paying monthly. Sign in with Google or email to get going.

What counts as a seat, and can I cancel or downgrade?

A seat is a teammate in your workspace: Solo is one seat, Pro includes 3, and Scale includes 8. You can change plans whenever you like. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades and cancellations apply at the end of the current billing period, so you keep what you paid for until then.
